Why VLC?

In Latin, Vinco means 'TO CONQUER'.  
Our school is a dream brought to life by two enthusiastic teachers with a passion for education and a vision to create  an alternative and safe learning environment.  
 
As individuals, we are not meant to think and function from within the same box. Not all people flourish in the same environment, so why do we then expect every child to fit into the same box? 
It is time to discard the box and recognise the individuals.  
 
Our aim is to create an environment where each child has the opportunity to conquer their obstacles and thrive as an individual.

Our Junior Phase (Gr R - 3) uses the CAPS curriculum as a structural foundation that is added to or adjusted for the needs of our learners while our focus is on neurodevelopment and individual development programmes.Our Senior Phase also uses the CAPS curriculum as a structural foundation that is added to or adjusted for the needs of our learners with the addition of the neurodiverse focused curriculum from the digital platform of NeuroMe.
